Substituting Special Trailer Tire Size ST205/75-15 for ST205/65-15 on Single Axle Trailer

Hello, I have a small 1 axle trailer it has 205/65/15 tires on it,can i put 205/75/15 trailer tires on it? Thank You.

Both trailer tire sizes you reference, ST205/65-15 and ST205/75-15 share the same width (8-inches) but have different overall diameters. So you will want to insure that your trailer wheel wells/fenders have enough clearance for the larger tire. At least 3-inches of available space above the tire surface is recommended to allow for normal suspension travel.

The ST205/65-15 has a diameter of 25-1/2-inches; the ST205/75-15 has an overall diameter of just over 27-inches. So long as you have enough room for the larger tire you'll be fine.
