Recommended Air Suspension Kit To Enhance Stability On 2000 Ford F-350 Super Duty
Question:
I installed 5th wheel rail kit RP50082-58 on my 2000 F350 Super Duty with the 6.5 foot box. Truck has the single tires in the rear, not a dually. Im hauling a 5th wheel camper that is 10,000lbs fully loaded. I feel I could go with an air suspension kit to keep it level. What kit works with my frame rail kit? Thank you

For your 2000 Ford F-350 Super Duty, the rail kit and the shorter bed will not effect the ability to install air suspension. I recommend the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs - Double Convoluted - Rear Axle, # F2550. This kit will increase the stability and improve the ride quality of your vehicle as well as keeping it level when you are hauling a heavy load. It has a load-leveling capacity of 5,000 lbs and is adjustable from 5 to 100 psi.
If you are interested in having the ability to adjust this system at a push of a button, you can add the Firestone Air Command I - Analog Gauge w/ Standard-Duty Compressor - Single Function - 130 psi, # F2158. This will give you a button and gauge in the cab of your truck and allow you the ability to adjust the air pressure up or down with the push of a button.
