Yes, the Sidewinder Fifth Wheel King Pin with Rotating Turret by 5th Airborne, 16K, part # ST400-5AS16K, can be used on trucks with 6 foot beds and 8 foot beds.

It will allow you to make sharp turns in the 6 foot bed truck without having to get out of your truck and move a handle every time you need to make tight maneuvers, as well as improve the handling characteristics of the truck with the 8 foot bed.

I have attached an FAQ article below on sidewinders below that you might find helpful. Sidewinders are pin box specific so you will want to check the chart in the FAQ article to make sure you have the right sidewinder for your trailer.

Airborne Sidewinder Hitch Can the Wetch be removed? And Hitch locked in solid Position? In case of Emergency: can anyone with regular 5th Wheel hook on to your Trailer and remove from the side of the Road? Known this to be a Problem with other Systems

Yes, the wedge can be removed from the Reese Sidewinder and then the rotating pin box locked out so that the pin box will function like a standard pin box.
