Compatibility of the Erickson Truck Bed Ladder Rack with a Bed Tool Box on a 2000 Dodge Dakota
Question:
I have truck tool box that hangs over or rest on the edge of the side rail of my truck. Will this effect the EM07708 Erickson Ladder Rack weight with ladders. The truck box being in place will shorten the leg distance about 12 inches wide from the front of the bed to back of the bed. Could I still use the ladder rack? Thank you.

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Erickson Truck Bed Ladder Rack, # EM07708 will work with either size bed and with a tool box mounted in the bed. The ladder racks mount to the under side of the truck's bed and can be mounted anywhere you need along the bed. As long as the racks can fit in the space between the tool box and tailgate and accommodate the length of your ladders, then you will have no problem with using the racks with either truck bed.
