Do Trunk Mounted Bike Racks Block License Plate Visibility
Question:
I have a Honda Civic 2006 coupe, and am getting this part for carrying my brother in laws racing bike this summer when we travel to an event here in NC. Ive never used a bike rack before - will my license plate still be visible enough for law enforcement?

Depending on where the license plate bracket is on a vehicle trunk bike racks can partially obstruct them. That being said, we have yet to hear of anyone actually get in trouble with law enforcement from having a bike rack block the view of the plate.
I attached a picture that shows this rack being used and a license plate clearly visible beneath it.
