Recommended Roof Rack for 2009 Acura RDX with Naked Roof

Hello, I am looking for a set of crossbars for my 2009 RDX with a naked roof and am having trouble. It seems like the OEM rack is pretty sub bar according to some reviews I have read. It also seems like a lot of after market products use the big ugly metal straps on the side. Can you point me to set of cross bars that will work on my RDX that has a nice profile look?

Your 2009 Acura RDX has a naked roof which means a fit kit is needed to secure a roof rack onto the vehicle. That is the purpose of the clamps you're referring to, and trying to avoid. Some vehicles have pre-drilled holes in their roof for a fit kit to connect to but more common is the clamp style that hooks around the door jamb.

Out of the roof racks that are available for your Acura I recommend the Rhino-Rack ROC25 # RR75YR. It does use the metal clamps for a fit kit but it's also a very streamlined, factory look with the bars fitting into the endcaps instead of protruding over the sides of the vehicle.
