Recommended Front Hitch And 2 Bike Platform Rack For 2014 Ford Super Duty 4WD

Question:

I need a front mount receiver hitch for a two bike, bike rack. I would prefer a lower mount which would allow better visibility from in side the pickup. Is there a possibility of a problem with front clearance? 2014 ford super duty 3/4 4wheel drive

For your 2014 Ford Super Duty 4WD, I recommend the Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver 2", # 65049. There really aren't different drop heights for front hitch receivers, but I can recommend a bike carrier with a lower carrying height.

The only thing onther than visibility you need to consider when putting a bike rack on the front is making sure nothing blocks your headlights, which shouldn't be an issue for a 2 bike rack. The bike rack I recommend for your application is the Swagman Chinook 2 Bike Platform Rack - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Tilting, # S64683. This rack has a weight capacity of 45 lbs per bike. It is a platform style rack, so there will be less mass blocking your view and the bikes will ride slightly lower. It has a threaded hitch lock pin with anti-wobble built in to reduce movement in the rack. The rack can be folded up when not in use. The ratcheting hooks with locks in the arms and sliding cradles secure bikes of various sizes.
