Recommended Weight Distribution System For 2003 Rockwood Roo Trailer
Question:
Greetings, I just brought home a 2003 21foot Rockwood Roo travel trailer with a 2,553 lb dry weight that came with Drawtite 1,200 tongue weight trunnion bars, and what looks like Drawtite style economical friction sway control assembly, both the WD and the sway control are lacking their respective balls and hitch. Since the tow vehicle is a 06 Suburban 1500 4x4 w/factory tow pkg and has a notoriously low hitch, I would like to order your AMAC1 shank to raise the tongue to level everything and soften the jolts of going up dirt mountain roads. Please recommend the correct combination of hitch head and balls to mate with my existing parts. I almost placed an order for Replacement Weight Distribution Bolt-Together Round Bar Head - PS58442 ... but realized it was for the round bar style WD not the trunnion style that I have. Close call that. Thank you for your help.

A replacement head is not available for an older Draw-Tite system like you said you have. The Draw-Tite system has been out of production for some time now. I recommend replacing the system with something that will work for you.
I recommend a system like part # RP66558. This system is designed for trailers with tongue weight between 400 and 600-lbs. The system uses trunnion bars and comes with a sway control system built-in. The adjustable shank is also included with this system. The hitch ball is sold separately so if you need a 2-inch ball I recommend part # 63845. For a 2-5/16 inch all I recommend part # 63847.
I also attached a link to a helpful article for weight distribution you can check out.
