Trouble Installing Tire Chains On 2012 GMC Acadia

Question:

I have 2012 GMC Acadia Denali with 265/50-20 tires and the Pewag PWE3210SC, they were given to me by a friend. When I tried them on at home they fit both wheels but when I was up at the mountains, one didnt fit. I spent close to 3 hours messing around with the snow trying to make one fit to the driver side tire, I even exchanged them. 1st question: Do you sell some extensions I can use. I just needed around 2 inches or less for it to reach. 2nd question: Do tires expand in the cold or in high altitude? 3rd question: Would I need anything else like the rubbers that some tire chains require? When I was able to make it fit, it was perfect and snug, it seemed like it wasnt going to move at all in any direction.

First, I recommend laying the tire chains next to each other to make sure they are the same size. When in rough weather, it can be more difficult to make sure everything is done exactly the same for both tires when installing the tire chains. Tires will not change size due to weather enough to cause the 2-inches difference you said you need. The # PWE3210SC chaions are confirmed as a fit for your tires.

We do not offer extensions as the chains are made to fit certain size tires. I am not aware of any extensions or any chains that offer extensions.

Rubber tensioners should not be needed because of the way the cam are used to tighten the chains.
