All of the fifth wheel hitches we have for your 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 3500, like the Curt Q24 # C16545-16025 you referenced, fit directly into the 4 pucks that are provided by the underbed rails. The above bed rails are not needed.

We do have the Curt OEM 5th Wheel Hitch Legs # C16025 which will attach the head of specific Curt fifth wheel hitches. This will give your Curt hitch the ability to connect right into the pucks of your Chevy.

If you'd also like to install a 7-way trailer connector into the bed of your truck the Curt Wiring Harness # C56000 is a confirmed fit. This will make it easier for you to hook your trailer's wiring to your truck when towing.
