Clearance Between Trailer Tongue Jack & Open Tailgate on Ford Expedition

Need one that will allow me to open my tailgate

Without knowing your trailer's dimensions it is difficult to generalize about this jack clearing your open tailgate but you can measure the clearance you need for your Ford Expedition's open tailgate to clear the top of your trailer tongue jack. With the trailer hitched, open the gate and measure the distance from the underside of the open tail gate to the round jack mount on the trailer tongue. You want to choose a jack whose height above the trailer frame is less than the distance you measured.
For instance, Stromberg Carlson jack #JET-5000 has a round mounting plate whose underside is 23-inches below the top of the jack housing. This jack would clear a tailgate if the measured distance from the bottom of the gate to the jack mounting point on the trailer was 24-inches, which gives 1-inch of clearance.
Please let me know the distance you measure on your trailer.
