You will need to check the tire sizes of your Ford Explorer, and once you do you can follow the link I attached below that will allow you to pick from the different sizes we sell for your vehicle, and from there find the set that you like.

The Glacier Twist-Link Snow Tire Chains with Cam Tighteners for Wide-Base and Dual Tires - 1 Pair, part # PWE2216SC, you referenced would work if you have tires that are size 255/70-16, which is one of the three tire sizes that come on 2002 Ford Explorers.

It is recommended that you use snow chains at least on the drive wheels of your vehicle. If your vehicle is four wheel drive I would recommend putting them on the front. That way, you will be able to steer and brake better also. If your Explorer is only rear wheel drive, the back tires would be where you would want to install chains.

To be as safe as possible, and depending on how much snow driving you will be doing, putting chains on all tires can also be a good choice. I have attached an FAQ article below on snow chains that you might find helpful.

Before you put chains on your 2002 Ford Explorer, you should consult the owners manual for the vehicle to determine if snow chains are safe to use.
