What is Needed to Install Thule Force XL Roof Top Cargo Box on 2016 Chevy Suburban XLT  

Question:

Hi Guys, I have a 2016 XLT Suburban and wanted to make sure this Thule Force XL would work with a Suburban. Would I need anything else to get this system working on my Suburban? I see other people buying Thule AeroBlades and Thule Rapid Traverse Roof Racks. Would I need these also? Or will the Thule Force XL come with everything it needs. Thanks for the help,

For your 2016 Chevy Suburban you would need to have a roof rack installed on the vehicle that has crossbars that run from left to right to be able to carry the Thule roof box part # TH6358B. Your vehicle may have them already which means all you would need is the cargo box.

Instead if you have rails that run front to back on the roof of the vehicle you would also need a roof rack with crossbars. For that the Thule Aeroblade roof rack part numbers # TH711520, # TH460R, and # THKIT4041 like what you referenced would be a great option. The Aeroblade crossbars are shaped so that the least amount of wind resistance is created which means minimal fuel mileage getting affected and less wind noise.
