Is there a Brake Controller Wiring Harness for Elecrical Connection on a 2006 Buick Ranier
Question:
I have a 06 Buick Ranier w/factory installed tow pkg. I watched your video of the install on the 04 Trailblazer. Do you have a made up cable for my car? If so, would I look for the connector in the same place as shown on the video?

Yes, your 2006 Buick Rainier will have a bundle of wires under the dash to the left of the steering column that will need to be spliced to the wiring included with the Tekonsha P-3 Trailer Brake Controller, item # 90195. This installation is the same as the one you saw in the video for the 2004 Trailblazer, and will work for the 2004 - 2006 Rainier with factory tow package. There is not a connector on your vehicle, so the wires must be spliced and the P-3 includes butt connectors for this installation.
The wires needed will be marked with white tape and you will be using the Black, Orange, Dark Blue and Light Blue wires to connect to the brake controller. The connections need to be made as follows.
Black to White from brake controller - Ground
Orange to Black from brake controller - 12 volt Power
Dark Blue to Blue from brake controller - Trailer Brake Feed
Light Blue to Red from brake controller - Stoplight Switch Circuit
Once these connections are made and the brake controller is mounted correctly you are ready to set the brake controller up with your trailer using the instructions for your brake controller. I have provided instructions for installing the P-3 brake controller for you to review along with the video that you mentioned.
