To flat tow any vehicle, a braking system in the vehicle is required in most states and Canadian provinces. A supplemental braking system can decrease the braking distance up to 30 percent in some towing setups and it will ease the wear and tear on your towing vehicle. It also is required by most RV companies as a stipulation of the warranty.

I recommend the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR. This system allows your CRV to brake with a similar amount of force and with the same timing as your RV. This is an easy to install system that sits on your CRV floor boards and anchors to the firewall. It has an articulating arm that attaches to the brake pedal that will apply the brakes. It operates remotely and uses a 12V power supply. This system will interchange between vehicles and can be installed or removed in minutes.

If I can help you with further recommendations for your CRV, I just need to know what model year you have so I can do that research for you.
