Will 3,500 Pound Trailer Hubs Fit 1,000 or 1,750 Pound Axle
Question:
I was looking at your 3500 lb hubs for 6 on 5.5 bolt pattern. What size spindle will these work on? I own a harbor freight axle, both their 1k and 1750 lb axle. I want to use the 6 lug hub and I am hoping that I do not need to buy an axle, but rather just the hubs. do you know if these are compatible?

Expert Reply:
The 3,500 pound hubs # 84655UC1 use bearings # L68149 and # L44649 which are for a # 84 spindle. A # 84 spindle has the following measurements:
A 1.75 inches
B 1.73 inches
C 1.38 inches
D 1.06 inches
E 1.00 inches
If your current spindles have the same measurements and you currently have the same bearings these hubs will work for your trailer without getting a new axle.
