Tire Chains for Short Distances and Infrequent Use on a 2011 Honda Odyssey

Question:

I am looking for a recommendation for tire chains. These will be used infrequently and for short distances. We only use them to climb a hill at the end of our trip in snowy weather on weekend trips in the winter. Getting them on and off quickly and easily is highly desirable. Any suggestions?

For infrequent use I recommend cable style chains for your 2011 Honda Odyssey. Cable chains are not all that difficult or time-consuming to put on and they require very little clearance. It looks like there are 2 possible stock tire sizes for the 2011 Honda Odyssey.

If you have either size, 235/60-17 or 235/65-16, you can use cables # PW1042. These cables also come with rubber tensioners to keep the chains tight and centered.

It is recommended to try out the tire chains ahead of time so that you can become a pro at putting them on and taking them off. Practice makes perfect!
