Does Trailer Need to Come Off the Ground Totally When Replacing Equalizers
Question:
Can I replace one equalizer by jacking up trailer by frame or must the whole trailer be off the ground?

To remove the equalizer the easiest way is to remove the wheel/axle. If your wanted to try and leave all of those components on what you described would be possible but it would be a bit of a headache.
If you fast forward to the 3 minute mark of the video I attached you can see more info on replacing the equalizers.
