Replacement 4-Way Harness Recommendation for 2007 Chevy Colorado

Question:

I have a 2007 colorado, purchased new with a factory tow package, 4 pin. Ive never used the tow package until now. The runnng lights pin brown wire has 12 volts to ground white when I turn the lights on. Neither turn signal pin has power yellow and green. They also have no power if the brake pedal is pressed. All vehicle lights work and all fuses were checked and are good. If I follow the tow harnes back it leads to a black module screwed to the vehicle frame on the left near the spare tire. It has five wires leading to it. Brown, green, yellow, white and blue. The yellow and green wires on the input side are active when I engage the appropriate turn signal. The yellow and green wires exiting the module have no power. These were checked using a signal light and a pin through the wire insulation. The blue wire does not have power I did not check it with the brake pedal pressed. My thought is that this module may be defective. Your comments would be appreciated. If the module is defective does etrailer have a suitble replacement? Thank you

What you described is a shorted out converter box. Any time the correct voltage is running to the input side of a converter box but not making it out of the box the issue is that there is an internal short and it needs to be replaced. What you would need then is the part # 118301 which is confirmed as a fit for your truck and would work well.
