Front Hitch and Snow Plow for 2016 Ram 1500 4x4 Crew Cab

Question:

Hi, Im leasing a 2016 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 crew cab, 5.7 hemi and Im interested in getting a snow plow for it. I would like to know if anybody makes and 2inch front hitch receiver for my vehicle that doesnt require any drilling of the frame. Since its a lease I really dont want to drill it. Also can you tell me of any snow plow that doesnt require any drilling of the frame, perhaps uses special/custom brackets. Also, any plows you might recommend. I have a very long drive and so does my neighbor which I plow also, the two total are about 4,000 long and gravel/dirt. Thanks.

We do offer front-mount hitches for your 2016 Ram 1500 4x4, two that are shown on the linked page, but neither one is a no-drill installation. Both require drilling and some fascia trimming (to make room for the receiver tube) and removal of the tow hooks for installation.

With one of these in place you can use a 2-inch snowplow like # K2AVAL8422. All plow options for your 4X4 truck are shown on the linked page. These slip right into the hitch with no other vehicle modifications required.

On the other linked page you can see Snowbear plow kits that do not use a front hitch to enable use of a plow, but they are no-drill products such as # SB324-167 which works with # SB397-019.

Since your truck is leased you may not care to pursue this option, but often customers using plows also add a front-axle suspension kit to help support the plow's weight since it extends so far forward of the front axle. Your truck could use a bolt-on Timbren jounce spring kit like # TUF100 or one of the others shown on the linked page.
