Load-Assisted Thule Kayaks Carrier for 2015 Honda CR-V with Factory Bars
Question:
I have 2015 Honda CR-V with factory bars, am looking at the Thule hullovator , but seems need to have bars protruding a few inches to fit,do not want to replace bars ,is there a way to be able to fit the item without going through that, which not prepared to do.

In order to use the Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Carrier # TH898 the vehicle must have roof crossbars that provide at least 4-inches of available bar space outside the foot assembly. This bar space is required to mount this particular load-assisted kayak carrier without the risk of it contacting the side of the vehicle when it is in the down position.
However, we do offer other types of load-assisted kayak carriers that fit on your Honda factory crossbars. These do not share the gas strut-type side-load operation of the Hullavator but they can still allow for 1-person loading.
Yakima offers their Kayak Carrier # Y04083-04082 that will fit your factory bars and allow rear-loading of a kayak up to 80-lbs. Please refer to the linked video. This and other options are shown on the linked page.
