Recommended Above-Bed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch For 2000 Ford F-350
Question:
been looking at two rail mount gooseneck hitches, the Spyder 16085 and the reese 58079, with your knowledge of these hitches which would you recommend for a 2000 f350 dually to pull 3 horse slant trailer, as well as an 20 foot flat trailer hauling farm tractors and equipment?

When comparing the difference between these two gooseneck hitches you will find they have a lot of similar features. Both the # 16085 and # RP58079 are designed with a towing capacity up to 25,000-lbs and have a vertical load limit of 6,250-lbs. Both mount to industry-standard fifth wheel rails.
The hitch I recommend is the # RP58079. The hitch ball included with this hitch is held in place with a snap-ring and that alows the ball to rotate which helps reduce binding with the gooseneck coupler.
