How well would this item fit in my 2012 3500 chevy with a fuel tank in the back

I called my contact at B&W about your 2012 Chevrolet 3500 with the in-bed fuel tank.
They told me you need a distance of 14-1/2 inches from the center of the gooseneck hole in the bed of your truck to the back of the cab or in your case the fuel tank to be able to use the Companion Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter, part # BWRVK3500. As long as you have more than the 14-1/2 inches from the cenrter of the ball hole the Companion will work great for you.
