Should Tire Chains Be Used On All Four Tires Of 2004 Acura RSX
Question:
I always used snow tires when I lived in the midwest. The rule of thumb was always use 4 snow tires. Now my son is living in the mountains and at times will need snow chains. Does he need to chain all 4 tires or only the front tires on his front wheel drive Acura? Im leaning towards all 4 tires and Im sure it wont hurt. But every picture I see and what I read it appears people only chain the driven wheels. Having never used chains before I just want to make sure that will provide adequate traction and safety for him when driving through the mountains. Thanks.

I checked the owner's manual for the 2004 Acura RSX.
On page 188 in the Maintenance section it states to use tire chains only on the front wheels. It also states you can only use Class S chains only.
If you want to let me know what size tires are installed on the vehicle I will be glad to make some recommendations that will work for you.
