Hitch and Light Kit Recommendation for 2015 Chevy Equinox for Use with Surco Cargo Carrier
Question:
i am very interested in getting this or very similiar carrier for the 2015 chevy equinox we just purchased. I need more storage! Two questions besides the obvious ones of can i get a hitch put on here and will this carrier work are #1 do i need to get lights also if they block my tail lights and #2 does the back trunk lid open still while this carrier is attached? Thank you for your time.

To install and use the etrailer Hitch Cargo Carrier part # e98874 on your 2015 Chevy Equinox you would need a trailer hitch installed. For that you would want the etrailer hitch part # e98865 which is a confirmed fit.
You would want a Cargo Carrier Light Kit, part # e98943-44LED for the 24x60 Folding Cargo Carrier, part # e98874 if you think your cargo would block the lights.
Due to the larger distance between the hitch opening and the bottom of the door on your Equinox you would have no problem opening the door plus the carrier has a tilting feature that would tilt away from the vehicle when loaded to give you even more access to the back of your vehicle.
