Recommended Rear Axle Suspension Enhancement Kit for 2016 Ram 3500 with Slide-In Camper

Question:

I have a dodge 2016 3500 I haul a Artic Fox 11.5 camper. Im looking for something to level out the truck under load and reduce sway with the camper on. What I dont want is something that makes the unloaded ride stiffer. I have looked at the stable load, sumo springs and the timbren products. Any suggestions from your team?

Expert Reply:

The best no-hassle option for stiffening your truck suspension when it is loaded with your slide-in camper is a set of Timbren jounce springs. These and all other suspension enhancement options for your rear axle are shown on the linked page. These are relatively low in cost, easier to install than most other solutions and they will give you progressive resistance in the rear suspension when you need it. But they will otherwise not alter the ride when the truck is unloaded.

I suggest the Timbren kit # TDR3500CA which fits both 2WD and 4WD versions of your 2016 Ram 3500 pickup. This kits bolts on without drilling and fits trucks without the factory Air Suspension system.
