Recommended Adapter For B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch To Use Fifth Wheel Hitch On 2001 Ram

Can I leave my BandW gooseneck hide a ball hitch on my truck and still install my 5th wheel hitch without removing the gooseneck assembly? I have a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 short bed pickup.

We do have an adapter that will let you use your fifth wheel hitch with your B&W Turnover ball gooseneck trailer hitch.

Traditional fifth wheel hitch rails will not work with your gooseneck hitch installed.

I recommend the Curt X5, part # 16310. This slips right in to the square ball hole on your hitch and gives you above-bed base rails with universal attach points that will work with B&W, Demco Hijacker Premier Series, Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch, Husky, Reese, and Valley above-bed 5th-wheel trailer hitches.

This adapter will not work with Husky 10-26K or 10-16K sliders.

Hopefully, you have a sliding fifth wheel hitch since you said you have a short bed on your 2001 Dodge Ram.
