Can the Topline Truck Bed Extender Easily Accommodate Cargo Laying On It

Question:

I am looking into a bed extender, and torn between this and the Topline Mfg version. With the Topline, its easily removable if I want to put a small vehicle motorcycle, tractor, etc. in the bed to get it out of the way, but with the Xtreme Gate, I can put in 8foot pipes and what not and not worry about them sliding out. Can the housing carry the load of the rear wheel of a vehicle? Can the unit be removed if I want to transport longer 10, 12 or even 16 dimensional lumber, as I dont see it laying flat over this hump.

The Truck Bed Extender # BX4004-02 can be folded down on the tailgate but won't be flat. You can remove all but the outer brackets to allow lumber or other cargo to lay across your tailgate. As long as it is between the brackets you will be fine. It is designed for an easy install/remove.

I attached an install video for you to check out for more info as well.

The Extreme Gate bed extender has been discontinued.
