Installing Erickson Horizontal E-Track System In Enclosed Cargo Trailer
Question:
Have an HandH enclosed cargo trailer. Want to install e-track tie down system. Problem/question is trailer lined with very thin 1/8 in plywood. Has vertical aluminum studs that are 1 inch wide, and 1 inch deep. Not sure how to secure either e-tracks rail or single e-tracks units. Could send pics if that would help. Thx

For wall applications, the E-track system # E19148 is mounted horizontally. Make sure you line up the mounting holes with studs as much as possible to give you that additional strength. That plywood is almost too thin to mount to and you will want to make sure you don't puncture the exterior wall with your screws. I suggest adding thicker plywood to your trailer to utilize this system. For added strength it is a good idea to use as many screws as possible when mounting the E-Track, even if they aren't secured in the aluminum studs and just the plywood at some points.
