On most back up cameras there is only one harness that needs to be hardwired to the 2004 Dodge Ram. One of the wires goes to the reverse light wire behind one of the taillights. The other is the ground. To find the correct reverse light wire, you will need to use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993.
Have someone sit in the truck and place it in reverse. Of course, use caution. Safety first. Probe the wires behind one of the taillights until you find the one that carries a signal when the reverse lights are on. Use the included quick splices to make the connections.
