When using an external propane tank with the Sturgi-stay does the RV main propane tank have to be Off or On or does it matter?

The MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay #103609-MBS is designed to run off the external source so you can save what's in your RV's main tank without having to disconnect everything. It is best to have your main off while using.
