The Curt X5 adapters are designed to fit specific gooseneck hitches. If you have a B&W Turnoverball gooseneck the X5 adapter that can be used is part # 16310.

If you have the Curt Double Lock gooseneck then the X5 you need is part # C16210. If you have the Curt EZR gooseneck system in your truck the adapter is part # C16220.

If you have any of the mentioned gooseneck systems, you can install your Draw-Tite 3900 fifth wheel hitch because the X5 systems do give you industry standard rails and per my contact at Draw-Tite, the 3900 will fit.

If you do not have any of the goosenecks I mentioned you may be interested in the Andersen Ultimate Adapter, part # AM3225. This installs on an industry-standard gooseneck ball. This has an offset ball and the pivot point can be moved rearward 5-2/4 inches. It also includes a coupler adapter that attaches to 5th-wheel trailer's king pin.
