Can Adult Bikes Be Loaded on Tapered Section of Curt Hanging Bike Rack C18064

Question:

I am wondering about the tapered ends on this rack and how you would load four full sized adult bikes on it and still be able to use the anti-sway straps for the two on the end. I have the Curt 2inch hitch C13144 and really want to get a two inch bike hitch so that there is no chance for any play in the hitch. The only other option Curt makes that I can see on your site is C18030. I dont like the fact that it is adaptable from a 1 1/4inch and dont like the design to tilt the hitch forward as much as I like model C18064. Please advise. Im ready to purchase something ASAP. I just want the best value and fit for my particular hitch. I wont be hauling any childrens bikes by the way.

Narrow arm bike racks still work well with adult bikes. The narrower section of the Curt bike rack part # C18064 would still work great with adult bikes. On the tapered section you would just need to slide the bikes closer to the cradles so that the cradles would attach.
