How Does the Prodigy P2 # 90885 connect to a 2011 GMC Canyon

Question:

CAn I use a ready made plug in connection cable assembly or do I just use the generic pigtail supplied with the Prodigy 2 controller. If there is a cable assembly, what is the part number to order with Thanks in advance.

The 2011 GMC Canyon, equipped with a factory installed heavy duty tow package, are not equipped to accept a plug-in style connector. These vehicles have Four blunt cut wires under the left side of the instrument panel. The wires are located to the left of the brake pedal brace and can be identified by color.

The wire colors are: Red, Black, Light Blue, Dark Blue

You will need to connect those wires to the wires of the # 90885 as follows:

Vehicle Wire - Brake Control - Wire Function:

Red - Black - Battery Power
Black - White - Ground
Light Blue - Red - Stop Light Signal
Dark Blue - Blue - Brake output to trailer
