Brake Controller Wont Light Brake Lights When Using Manual Override Slider On 2016 Ram 1500

I got the C51458 and the C74VV for my 2016 ram ,the C51458 wire colors dont match the plug under the dash and when I use the over ride slider on controller bake light on truck dont work

The wire colors under the dash are not designed to match on any vehicle, they match function but not color and the Curt Brake Controller Adapter # C51458 is the correct harness for your 2016 RAM. I reached out to my friend at Curt and he confirmed that when you use the manual override slide on your Curt Venturer Trailer Brake Controller, # C74VV, it is designed not to send power to your vehicle brake lights. It sends signal to your trailer brakes, but not to the lights.
