In order to pick out a direct replacement for the landing gear on your 2005 Forest River Sandpiper we would need to know the distance between the mounting brackets. Otherwise you could just have the brackets removed from your trailer by a qualified welder and then install the brackets that come with the Stromberg Carlson Tandem Landing Gear Set # LG-183708. Either way this landing gear set would work well for you, you just might have to have the brackets of your trailer removed and then install the brackets of the # LG-183708.

The jacks would be the correct replacement for Lippert, Venture, and Atwood landing gear, as well as those from a few other manufacturers. The sure way to tell is that if the distance between the mounting brackets (underside of top bracket to top of lower bracket) is 17-1/2 inches. If this is the case, the landing gear should fit just fine.

If your frame clamps are instead 20-1/4 inches the Ultra Fab part # UF17-943010 would be a direct replacement. From previous experience with Forest River trailer it is very likely you have the 17-1/2 inch dimension.
