Recommended Replacement Part for Pollak 12-705 Trailer Wiring Socket Vehicle End

Question:

I have a Pollak 12-705 trailer wiring socket on my vehicle. The spring door and bracket were broken off. The wiring and plug were undamaged. I want to replace the front cover section of the outlet. It appears the 705 socket has been replaced by the 707. Are these interchangeable?

Yes, the Pollak Black Plastic 7-Pole RV Blade-Style Trailer Socket - Vehicle End, # PK12-707E, will work to replace the Pollak wiring socket that is broken. The insert will allow you to simply disconnect the wires and reconnect them inside the outer socket. I've attached a review video of this product for you so you can see the simple installation of this replacement part.
