Controlling Sway on A-Frame Trailer with 20-1/2 Inch Straight Tongue

Question:

Im looking for a weight distribution hitch for pulling a pontoon behind a truck camper. I would like it to allow backing up and have sway control. The problem I see is that my trailer has a straight tongue for the first 20.5 inches and then turns to an a-frame, which seems like it would put everything at too of a steep angle. Is there any systems that would work for me?

We may have a solution for you, however it doesn't sound like we'll have a weight distribution system that will work on your trailer.

The next best option to using a weight distribution is getting a suspension enhancement system for your 2002 Ford Super Duty. The Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F2550 are confirmed to fit your truck. Air springs will help take some of the strain off your truck's rear axle while towing and help keep your towing setup level and improve the stability of the overall ride. Pair it with the Firestone Air Command I # F2158 to allow you to inflate the air springs from inside the cab of your truck.
