Will Thule Class S Tire Chains Fit a 2014 Nissan Rogue with 225/60-18 Tires
Question:
Having an issue finding self tensioning tire chains. Have had Thule in the past and absolutely loved them. Its my understanding that they have given up the making chains and now they are under the Konig brand. Do you still have Thule or are they Konig as there siZe numbers dont fit the same? And would you know if the XB-16 would fit my Rogue even though the manual says the chains should be type S.

Expert Reply:
We do have several Thule Class S-rated tire chains that will fit your 2014 Nissan Rogue with 225/60-18 tires. Some of them do not come up through the vehicle fit guide because the chains that fit that size are also characterized for cars versus trucks or SUVs. So the chains will fit they are just the models that were designed with car tires in mind. Basically the chains listed for car tires may not fit on SUV tires because the tread design could make the SUV tires larger even though the tires have the same size designation.
Below is a list of the automatic tensioning Thule/Konig chains that are Class S rated that will fit your tire size:
K-Summit size K66 # TH02230K66
Size the XB chains # TH01571245 are not Class S I cannot recommend them for your Rogue.
