Does 7-Way of Chevy Silverado Come Apart to Install Hopkins Backup Camera
Question:
1-I Am not sure if the 7 way comes apart like your Ford F150 video. Do you know if it does? 2- For a crew cab, do I need the extension cord inch of 10 feet? Thank you

Helpful Expert Reply:
Yes, the 7-way you have installed on your 2005 Chevy Silverado does come apart like what you see in the attached video for the installation of the # HM50002. Nearly all 7-ways on the market are made like this and that is why this camera system is so universal.
For your truck you would want the extension cable part # HM3100504060.
