Will Both Truck Batteries in a 2009 Chevy Silverado 3500 Drain if Trailer Stays Connected
Question:
I have dual batteries in my pick up if I leave my fifth wheel plugged in this is when I am part without the truck running running the furnace in my camper not hooked to an electrical source other than the pick up will it drain both of my pick up batteries or just one

It depends on how the batteries are wired to your 2009 Chevy 3500. If the batteries are not connected to each other then only one battery will drain. If they are connected in any way directly to each other then both batteries can drain. In that situation using a battery isolator will prevent both batteries from draining.
I recommend # DW08771 because it protects your main starting battery from auxiliary drain (from the trailer). It will also regulate current for a multi-battery system.
