Would Trailer Brake Assembly Installed 90 Degrees Out Cause Problems

Question:

Assume that a trailers spring perches were welded on the axle in the wrong position resulting in the brake assembly to be 90° or 180° out of proper position . In this case, the brake magnet would be positioned at 3 oclock, 9 oclock or 12 oclock but never at 6 oclock where it should be. What impact might this have on the trailers brake performance? Could it somehow cause failure of the hub assembly, such as the hub coming off the spindle?

It wouldn't cause failure but having the brake assembly installed 90 degrees out from where it normally should be could cause either the brakes to be a bit more touchy or slightly less responsive depending if the magnet was in front of the direction of travel or behind.

If you had a hub come off of a spindle while traveling it would not have been because of the assemblies being installed in the wrong orientation.
