The great thing about exhaust tips that clamp on, such as # MF35212 as an example, is that you can take it off, have your safety and emissions tests done, and put it back on afterward. This will ensure that the vehicle does not fail inspections based on any exhaust tip added.

It is unlikely that the addition of an exhaust tip would cause the vehicle to fail inspections though so I would not worry about it.

We have a lot of exhaust tips, see link, and the ones that fit will be based on the outer diameter of your existing exhaust pipe. I have found resonating tips are a bit louder than regular ones but in either case they shouldn't cause the vehicle to fail inspections.
