For your 2016 Pinnacle 38FLSA, there are many vehicles from each manufacturer that would work well and the front width won't be an issue. A good 5th Wheel towing vehicle for this size trailer would be a diesel, 8 foot bed, with the OEM 5th wheel package. I suggest avoiding the short bed options because they will often have clearance issues and require additional components.

Diesel engines are made to handle the extra towing and will have a longer life than gasoline engines. The factory rails/pucks on newer trucks are the best option because they are specifically made for your vehicle at the manufacturer so there won't be any interference issues and they leave a nice clean bed when you aren't towing. There are many good options of vehicles meeting this criteria, so I would just make sure that you can add suspension enhancement like jounce springs or air springs to lesson the wear and extend the life of your factory suspension.

For a 5th Wheel Hitch, I recommend the Reese Select Plus, # RP30081, for use with rail systems. If you end up getting a newer truck with the puck system, I'd be happy to help you with a hitch if you let me know as they are somewhat make specific.
