Does Light Come on When Tekonsha Powertrac Brake Controller is Not Connected to Trailer
Question:
I have it all wired up and grounded correctly but the light doesnt light up although I dont have a trailer connected. Shouldnt the light be red?

When a trailer is connected the Powertrac it will light up green, when you apply the brakes it will then turn red. If no trailer is connected either the light won't come on or it will blink.
Try hooking up a trailer to the vehicle to see if the lights change.
