Maintenance Required for Sidewinder Pin Box Replacements

Question:

I have a 20k Sidewinder installed on an OpenRange 397FBS. I retained this pin box when I upgraded the tow vehicle to a GMC 3500 Dually. Even though not required. I have had this pin box for over two years and 15000 miles. Are there any periodic maintenance items to be performed other than the bolt torques? I have not seen this in the owners manual.

Reese recommends that to maintain easy hookup you frequently lubricate the wedge surfaces, back side of the king pin, and the skid plate surface. The bearing surfaces of the # RP34FR sidewinder arm can also be lubricated if stiff, using white lithium grease. Never use a lube plate with a Sidewinder. Page 4 of the linked instructions illustrates the lubrication points. I have also linked a brief article concerning Sidewinder lubrication.
