Fifth Wheel Rail Location in Truck Bed Recommendation for 2001 Ford F-150
Question:
Looking to mount a used fifth wheel set up in my 2001 F2 50 crew cab short box. Does anybody know the setback distance from the rear of the bed? Thanks

The distance you are looking for is 29-1/4 inches. If you were to install the rails of the # PS30128 which are basically just part # RP30035 the rear edge of the rear rail needs to be exactly 29-1/4 inches from the rear edge of the truck bed.
You would then need to use the front mounting tabs of the hitch to locate the front rail once you have the rear rail in position.
