I would recommend the Thule Helium Aero 3-bike rack, part # TH9043PRO. This rack is made of aluminum, so it is very lightweight, and it includes both a hitch lock and a built-in cable lock to secure the bikes to the rack, and the rack to your hitch. The arms on the Helium have a narrow spacing, so it can accommodate the smaller frames on many childrens bikes.

For a less expensive option, look at the Kuat Beta, part # B202-114. The Beta is extremely light, weighing in at under 13 lbs, but it can handle 2 bikes weighing up to 40 lbs apiece.

Womens bikes or other bikes with alternative frames will likely require the use of a bike adapter bar like the Swagman frame adapter bar, part # 64005.
