Maximum Distance For Mounting Sway Bracket For Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System
Question:
According to the instructions, the brackets should be mounted between 29inch and 32inch from the ball coupler. The instructions go on to state ...place a mark at 32” on both sides. This is the center mark for the sway bracket assembly. Question: If the 32inch point is the CENTER mark for the assembly, does that mean one could move the bracket more than 32inch from the coupler? The instructions mention a MINIMUM of 29. What about a MAXIMUM? Thanks,

Expert Reply:
The maximum distance the center of the sway brackets can be moved is the 32-inches as described in the installation instructions.
Moving the bracket out further could create a problem when making turns if the spring bar fell out.
