5th Wheel Rail Placement Using Universal Installation Kit on a 1994 Chevy Long Bed Pickup

I have a 8 foot bed on a chevy truck how far should the rail be from the tailgate

If you are using a universal installation kit such as # RP30035 on your 1994 Chevy long bed pick up then the measurement from the rear edge of the bed (not the tailgate) to the back edge of the rear rail will be 30-15/16 inches. I have included a link to the instructions for kit RP30035. For your truck the instructions start on sheet 6 of 19.
